The ZNBS is Zambia's leading Financial Institution engaged in the business of Property financing. The Government of The Republic of Zambia established it in 1970.

Its business is three fold and also includes, Deposit taking (Banking) and Real Estate. It has its Head Office in Century House on Cairo Road – Lusaka. The total staff established is 300 with a total of Nineteen (19) branches countrywide – this includes one each town on the Copperbelt and a branch in each of Provincial Headquarters.

The company’s Management team has launched an aggressive re-investing and innovating strategy to expand its business portfolio and sustain the company in the wake of competition brought about by liberalization and entry onto the market other building societies and other financial institutions conducting business similar to building societies.

Accordingly, ZNBS has diversified and branched into avenues traditionally not considered building society core business, this has included Agency arrangements with the Lottery Management Company and the Road Traffic Commission for the Sale of Kwachamania tickets and Road Traffic License disks respectively.

The Company, also Administers Life Assurance Funds on behalf of beneficiaries upon demise of parent or guardian. The Company certainly has an ambitious Corporate Strategy to stay ahead of its competition
